Features of AutoDesk Mudbox 2024
• A new Preserve Volume option has been added the smooth tool to prevent excessive mesh degradation, especially when working with dynamic tessellation.
• Several improvements to Dynamic Tessellation, including support UVs, Selection Sets, Joint Weights, and Falloff Type.

安裝步驟
- 站內版本為 Autodesk Mudbox 2024。程式支援 Intel/Apple silicon，但 Apple silicon 上安裝器是 Intel 架構，安裝時可能需要 Rosetta 2；站內基準為 macOS 11+。備份 .mud、基礎網格、UV/UDIM/Ptex、Paint Layer、Stamp/Stencil、相機、燈光、預設，確認授權與認證 GPU。以低/高模基準檢查最低層、拓撲、法線、比例、UV→逐層細分/Sculpt Layer→Paint Layer→切線法線、標量/向量位移和 AO。向量位移用 32-bit EXR/TIFF 及 Maya Floating Point Absolute；標量用 16/32-bit。測 Maya↔Mudbox Send To、FBX、單/多 tile UV、Ptex 的路徑、通道、色彩及渲染器往返。

常見錯誤及解決方法
- 細分/雕刻破面先查最低層的非流形、重點、零面、法線及長三角。提取灰色/無輸出多為檔名/路徑、記憶體、源/目標設定。Subdivision Locate 要同基礎拓撲，不同用 Ray Casting；Search Distance 過小漏細節、過大產生尖刺。位移黑/階梯/軟查 UV 面積、解析、位深、Smooth Target UVs、Smooth Source、目標細分，優先 32-bit float。向量位移用 EXR/TIF、Floating Point Absolute 並匹配空間。Paint 接縫查 UV/tile/色彩/記憶體；Ptex 須拓撲一致。Send To 查版本/權限/路徑；Apple silicon 安裝查 Rosetta 2。
