- Compared with Illustrator/Affinity Designer, prepress, spot-color control, advanced meshes, scripting, plug-ins, team review and industry handoff are shallower. Native effects may rasterize, flatten or change in SVG/EPS/PSD and require round-trip verification. VectorAI/vectorization can create redundant nodes, inaccurate geometry and rights or trademark-similarity risks, so it is not delivery-ready by itself. Showroom is visual simulation, not a production guarantee for materials, inks or curved distortion. Fonts vary across Mac/iPad/iPhone. Blur, shadows, patterns and hundreds of objects can still slow older Intel Macs. Migration should be driven by project compatibility, with the editable master retained.
Installation steps
- Logoist 5.2.2 supports macOS 11 Big Sur through macOS 26, Intel Macs and native Apple silicon. Install from the Mac App Store. Before production, build a copied document with multiple artboards, text, bitmaps, Boolean shapes, gradients, filters and transparency; test SVG, PDF, EPS, layered PSD, PNG/JPEG/HEIF and per-layer PNG export. Resolve font licensing, canvas size, units, bleed and destination color space first. Use PDF/EPS with printer preflight for print and SVG/PNG for web/icons. Review VectorAI prompts, rights and path quality; clean redundant nodes, outline delivery fonts and retain an editable-text master. The 3D Showroom is a presentation mockup, not a substitute for material, spot-color or press proofs.
Uninstallation steps
- Before uninstalling, retain a native Logoist master for every project, plus PDF/SVG/EPS interchange, layered PSD compatibility and PNG/TIFF visual references. Reopen each and inspect artboards, line breaks, fonts, gradients, masks, shadows, blends, alpha and pixel dimensions. Archive font names/licenses, custom styles, presets, templates, linked bitmap assets, VectorAI prompts and provenance. For brand work, keep editable-text and outlined-delivery variants. Copy to a second medium and verify before removing the app. App Store purchase history enables reinstall but is not a project backup. Do not retain only PSD or SVG: complex filters, generators, shared styles and group structures may rasterize, flatten or change.
Common errors and fixes
- Wrong artboard or dimensions on export: use 5.2.2, which fixes artboard selection during image export; set range, pixel scale and transparency per board, then compare a small batch to the canvas. SVG differences elsewhere arise from inconsistent support for filters, text, blend modes and generators; outline delivery text, rasterize only necessary effects and keep a vector core. Layered PSD is interchange, not native—reopen groups, masks, text and shadows while keeping Logoist authoritative. Font substitution requires the same font version/license and an outlined delivery copy. Large documents with blur, shadows and patterns may lag despite 5.2 improvements; use X-Ray/focus mode, groups and temporarily disable costly effects. Clean VectorAI nodes/paths manually and never treat an automatic result as a registration-ready trademark. Showroom color/scale is a mockup and needs a physical proof.
What changed in this version
- Logoist 5.2 introduces 3D Showroom, mapping chosen artboards onto more than a dozen scenes such as caps, bottles, vans, shirts and mugs. Lighting, object color/size, artwork position/scale, depth of field and transparent artboard backgrounds can be adjusted before sharing an image. It also adopts Liquid Glass on macOS/iOS/iPadOS 26 while retaining the familiar UI on older systems, adds justified text, improves canvas-move performance and SVG rendering. Version 5.2.2 fixes selecting an artboard when exporting images and includes iOS/iPadOS 26 refinements. It remains compatible with macOS 11–26, useful where Logoist 6’s macOS 15+ requirement is unsuitable.
