Description
Engage in epic naval combat and explore the oceans of the Warhammer world. Man O’ War: Corsair is a video game of high adventure, naval combat and exploration based on the Games Workshop classic Man O’ War table top game.
Your Quest
Sail the seas plundering enemy ships, visiting ports, and trading. Dominate everything in your path with a fleet of ships at your back and watch people flee at the mere sight of you, leaving legends of your deeds in the history books and steel through the hearts of your enemies.
Explore and Fight
Captain a wide variety of unique sailing vessels, explore and trade whilst combating enemy ships in frantic naval action.
Boarding Actions
As well as sea battles, engaging in boarding actions with enemy vessels sees you walking the deck, weapon in hand, attacking enemy crew. Loot the vessels or sink them, the choice is yours.
Enemies and Allies
Buy a variety of unique and deadly ships. Command allies from different races and fight many deadly enemies. Fierce storms, deadly fleets and terrible foes will block your path to ultimate glory.
Custom Battles
Build your own fleet from any faction in game, and battle it against any foe you choose.
The Old World
A captain in Man O’ War: Corsair can sail the coast of a huge continent in the Warhammer world. Visiting over 50 ports from Erengrad to Sartosa, the sea is yours to explore.
A heroic adventurer does not only have enemy ships to contend with. The deep and unexplored oceans hold terrifying creatures that few see and live to tell the tale.
These deadly creatures emerging from the deep sea will chill blood and drop jaws in equal measure. The wise would attempt to flee but those brave enough to tackle such creatures will be famed throughout the world.
Here there be monsters….

Editor-checked details
Recommended for players who like Warhammer ships, Pirates!-style free sailing and can accept an older interface. Start with one short trade route and reserve hold space for ammunition and repair supplies. Buy an escort only after cash flow is stable; do not chase strong enemies with a fully loaded merchant. In combat, damage sails/control to reduce maneuverability before firing from a favorable broadside. Check crew condition and nearby hostile ships before boarding. Learn ship classes in custom battle first. Safe order: dual backup; 1.5.0.3a/SHA-256; new captain departure; cannon/boarding; trade; port reload; old save.
Pros
- It turns a rare seafaring view of the Warhammer world into an open captain career: trade, escort, plunder, capture or hunt sea monsters instead of following only a fixed campaign. Naval combat combines heading, turn radius, broadside angle, hull/crew damage and ammunition, then shifts to deck melee during boarding. More than fifty ports and multiple faction relations vary routes and risk; fleet growth, crew and equipment provide longer goals. Custom battles let players test factions and ship types without risking a main save.
Cons
- Wind, turning and reload cycles deliberately make ships heavy, but pursuit and cleanup can become slow. Boarding melee and enemy AI are rougher than the ship systems and become repetitive over long sessions. Open seas, port trade and random encounters create stretches of travel, while quest guidance and UI show the game’s age. Official Mac requirements remain at OS X 10.9/10.10 and Intel Iris, with no explicit native commitment for modern systems or Apple Silicon. Of this site’s five editorial languages, only English is an official in-game language, so reading English quests/items is a major barrier.
Installation steps
- This page covers Man O’ War: Corsair 1.5.0.3a. Official Mac minimums are OS X 10.9, Intel Core i5 2.6 GHz, 8 GB RAM, Intel Iris and 29 GB storage; recommended is OS X 10.10, Core i7 3.3 GHz, 16 GB and Iris Pro 6200. Back up captain, fleet, crew, equipment, cargo, gold, port reputation, trade routes, quests, faction relations and controls, then record 1.5.0.3a/SHA-256. On a fresh save, leave port and test steering/sail speed, cannon fire, repairs, boarding, loot disposal, port trading and save reload, followed by one custom battle. Restore an old save only after mouse cursor, camera and input behavior are stable.
Uninstallation steps
- Before uninstalling, disengage from naval combat, boarding and storms, enter a port and allow trade, quest and fleet state to write. Do not force-quit while capturing a ship, allocating loot, transferring crew or loading a port. Create two rotating saves and record port, flagship, escorts, gold, cargo, quests and 1.5.0.3a/SHA-256, then back up local and Cloud separately. Reinstall with cloud disabled and use a new captain for one port–battle–return loop plus reload. Restore the old save only after that succeeds, compare fleet, hold and faction relations, then re-enable cloud.
Common errors and fixes
- If cannon fire consistently passes the target, do not follow only the reticle: lead for both headings, speed and swell, and stabilize the broadside angle before firing. If boarding is unavailable, weaken the enemy ship, reduce relative speed and approach an interactive side; a high-speed collision is not a boarding action. For trade losses, record buy port, quantity, hold use and destination price so low-margin cargo does not displace repair/ammunition capacity. If fleet AI spreads out, tighten formation and avoid chasing through narrow ports. On older Intel Iris, reduce water, shadows, anti-aliasing, view distance and resolution. There is no explicit native Apple Silicon statement. Official in-game languages also exclude Chinese, Japanese and Korean; this five-language editorial does not imply localization.
What changed in this version
- The site build is 1.5.0.3a. No public official itemized notes were found that precisely match the complete Mac number, so changes from the current store re-release or other platforms are not assigned to this build, and no higher version is disclosed. Verifiable 1.5.0.3a scope includes open seas, more than fifty ports, trade and plunder, fleet management, broadside combat, boarding melee, multi-faction custom battles, storms and sea monsters. Acceptance covers displayed version, a new captain leaving port, one cannon/boarding encounter, one port trade and reload.
