- Large sandbox missions support long-range sniping, stealth, traps, melee or direct combat. Wind, gravity and heart rate make ranging, breath control and position matter. WWII weapons, side objectives, collectibles, sniper nests and the X-ray Kill Cam strengthen feedback. The Apple-silicon release supports keyboard/mouse, controllers, Game Center and Apple-device cross-save, with the complete first mission available as a trial. Eleven languages include Simplified/Traditional Chinese and Japanese.
Cons
- Intel Macs are entirely unsupported and macOS 14 excludes older systems. The complete campaign and DLC require in-app purchases; free access covers only mission one, and archive size is not final disk use. High graphics, vegetation and Kill-Cam detail can sustain pressure on base M1 or fanless MacBook Air. Graphic bone/organ X-rays and wartime violence are not for everyone. Checkpoint repeats, collectible hunting and patrol observation can slow the sandbox pace.
Installation steps
- This page covers channel version 1.2.2. Official requirements are macOS 14.0+ and Apple M1 or later; Intel Macs are unsupported. Keep substantially more free space than the 16.36 GB archive for extraction, campaign data and saves. Back up Apple-device cross-saves and record SHA-256. With a new profile, test graphics preset, keyboard/mouse or compatible PlayStation/Xbox/MFi controller, aim assist, sensitivity, stealth, ballistics, X-ray Kill Cam, first-mission saving and cross-device reload. Validate frame rate, thermals and memory pressure per resolution on M1/M2/M3/M4.
Uninstallation steps
- Before uninstalling, leave the mission for the menu and let campaign, collectible, setting, achievement and Cloud Save sync finish; do not force-quit during Kill Cam, checkpoint writing or cross-device sync. Back up local/Cloud saves, DLC entitlement, 1.2.2 and SHA-256. After reinstalling, use a copy to perform a stealth kill and long-range shot, reach a checkpoint, quit/reload and sync another device before restoring the campaign.
Common errors and fixes
- If marked incompatible, confirm Apple silicon and macOS 14+; Intel cannot reverse-run this build through Rosetta. For infinite loading, confirm 1.2.2, fully quit/restart and inspect storage/Cloud state without deleting the sole save. Missing or untranslated Japanese Cloud Save options were an older issue: verify the build and reopen settings. For controller failure, confirm macOS detection and restore the default layout; adjust dead zones for drift. Reduce resolution, shadows, vegetation and Kill-Cam detail for heat or low FPS. Wind, gravity, distance and heart rate intentionally shift ballistics.
What changed in this version
- Official 1.2.2 changes: vegetation animation on Mac, tessellation added to the X-ray Kill Cam on Mac, plus general bug fixes and improvements. Acceptance should compare vegetation motion and geometry in rifle, melee and explosive Kill Cams, then retest loading, Cloud Save, controller, checkpoints and cross-device saves. No version above the channel build is disclosed.
