Description

Welcome to Parkitect , where you build and manage the theme parks of your dreams.

Construct your own coasters, design an efficiently operating park that fully immerses your guests in its theming and play through the campaign.

Build

Create the perfect park for your guests! Deform the terrain, place water, build structures! With a huge selection of deco objects from various themes you can design your park however you want. And for more you can get custom scenery from the Steam Workshop or mod in your own!

Top off that park with your very own roller coaster! Design it yourself or choose from a number of exciting designs. Spinning, looping, launching, flying – with over 70 of the worlds most popular types of theme park rides you’ll always be able to surprise your guests.

Manage

Building is only half of the challenge! You’ll need to keep an eye on the finances and guest satisfaction to stay on top, and for the first time in a theme park game the “behind the scenes” parts of your park have a meaning too! Route resources to your various shops without annoying your guests and keep the staff areas out of the public eye for the perfect immersive experience.

Play

Build your way through a challenging campaign! 26 scenarios with unique settings will put your theme park management and coaster designing skills to the test. And there’s always more – download scenarios created by the community from Steam Workshop or design your own with the scenario editor.

With the landscape generator you’ll create your own unique setting in no time. And if you’re more of a creative player there’s the sandbox mode!

Why we recommend it

Recommended for classic theme-park management, detailed scenery and coaster design, provided backstage logistics sounds appealing. Start with entrance → main loop → rides/shops → concealed depot → staff loop, giving each shop a short service route. Hide depots with walls, buildings and trees instead of placing them far away. Establish reliable flat rides before adding one medium-intensity coaster. Change one train, brake or price variable at a time and compare test data. Reserve toilets, benches, bins and maintenance capacity before expansion. Safe order: confirm Intel specification; dual backup; 1.12d3/SHA-256; mod-free small park; rides/restocking; reload; restore DLC/mods.

Pros

  • It preserves the clarity of classic isometric theme-park building while making backstage operations real: depots, haulers, staff paths and guest sightlines require an attractive public park and efficient hidden service network. The coaster editor connects track, trains and operation to test ratings and guest response, while more than 70 ride types and extensive scenery provide thematic freedom. Campaign scenarios gradually combine loans, space, rides, ratings and objectives; sandbox, scenario editor, landscape generation and Workshop support long-term creation. Online co-op enables shared building. All five target interfaces are officially supported.

Cons

  • Backstage visibility and logistics are deep, but weak early explanation can leave stocked shops unserved or staff taking long detours, with the cause hidden in zone/path details. Large parks add CPU and memory pressure from guests, queues, scenery and coaster trains; 4 GB minimum suits smaller scale. Isometric low-poly art is deliberately retro and does not center first-person guest immersion. Coaster editing is flexible but rating concepts are demanding, and excessive intensity/nausea can leave an elaborate ride empty. Multiplayer, Workshop and old saves depend on matching content. Mac specifications remain Intel i3/i5 based with no official Apple Silicon guarantee.

Installation steps

  1. This page covers Parkitect 1.12d3. Official Mac minimums are macOS 10.13, a 2.3 GHz Intel i3 or comparable CPU, 4 GB RAM, Shader Model 3.0 graphics and about 2 GB storage; recommendations are a 3 GHz i5, 6 GB RAM and a post-2015 discrete GPU. Native Apple Silicon/Rosetta status is not stated officially. Back up campaign, scenarios, sandbox parks, coaster blueprints, scenery, mod/Workshop order, DLC, bindings and graphics, then record 1.12d3/SHA-256. First disable mods and build a small sandbox with paths, entrance, shop/storage and hidden staff route. Add one flat ride and short coaster, then validate test ratings, queues, restocking, litter, backstage visibility, finance and save reload.

Uninstallation steps

  1. Before uninstalling, pause all rides and wait for trains to return, guests to clear exits, staff deliveries and Cloud synchronization. Never force-quit during coaster testing, blueprint save, scenario generation, Workshop update or multiplayer sync. Rotate two park saves and separately preserve blueprints/scenarios; record cash, loans, rating, guests, staff zones, depot stock, backstage paths, maintenance, DLC, mod IDs/order and 1.12d3/SHA-256. Reinstall with a small mod-free park and reload it before restoring the old save. Restore identical DLC and mod order before first opening it, and never overwrite the only backup while rides are missing.

Common errors and fixes

  1. A shop can be empty despite depot stock if staff paths are broken, zones are wrong, haulers are overloaded or backstage concealment forces a detour; inspect the logistics overlay segment by segment. For queue complaints, compare throughput, train configuration, load time, queue length, price and local demand instead of only extending the queue. A coaster needs a complete test, closed track, correct station direction, valid train count, acceptable intensity/nausea and connected exit. If profit is positive but rating is low, inspect toilets, litter, scenery immersion, prices and exposed backstage areas. For missing rides/errors, copy the save, test without mods and restore dependency order. Multiplayer peers need identical 1.12d3, DLC and mods. Reduce shadows/guest count for stutter. Apple Silicon is not guaranteed.

What changed in this version

  1. The site build is 1.12d3. Its source links release notes, but the official itemized body matching this exact number was not obtained, so specific fixes are not invented. Verifiable scope includes custom coasters, more than 70 ride types, depot/staff-path logistics, finance and guest satisfaction, 26 campaign scenarios, sandbox, scenario editor, landscape generator, Workshop, Cloud, achievements and online co-op for up to eight players. Acceptance covers displayed 1.12d3, a mod-free small park, ride testing, depot restocking, backstage concealment, finance, save reload and multiplayer menu. No higher version is shown.
