Description

Farming Simulator 25 invites you to join the rewarding farm life. Whether you build your legacy single-handedly or cooperatively in multiplayer – it’s your farm, you decide!

This Farm is Your Farm!

Build a farm along winding rivers and historic grain elevators in North America, surrounded by ponds in Central Europe, or in a lush East Asian landscape filled with rice paddies near a neon-lit port city. Grow crops, tend to animals, practice forestry, and manage an empire of business ventures with farm shops, productions, and constructions!

Weather-Changing, Ground-Deforming Atmosphere

Twisters and hail add new challenges, prompting farmers to prepare and assess the impact on their crops. Tire tracks also leave an impact thanks to ground deformation and plenty of new weather effects, making the view on your farm more romantic and immersive. Start the day with sun rays breaking through the treetops, illuminating the morning mist with golden light!

Asian Farming, New Crops & Animals

Grow two types of rice on water-retaining rice fields, or spinach, peas, and green beans as Farming Simulator 25 extends the choice of crops to 25 in total. Various tree species plus greenhouse vegetables offer even more variety.

Adding Asian farming, you roam the fields operating new types of equipment, while mighty buffalo and goats join cows, sheep, pigs, chickens, horses, and other livestock in pens and pastures. Baby animals, too!

Authentic Machinery – GPS activated!

Farm more precise with GPS-assisted steering and improved automation. Operate over 400 authentic vehicles & tools from more than 150 international top brands. Including Case IH, CLAAS, Fendt, John Deere, Kubota, Massey Ferguson, New Holland, Valtra, and many more. Choose your favorite brand or discover exciting new technology!

Why we recommend it

Recommended for players who enjoy machinery, agricultural processes, production planning and slow management. Treat M1/8 GB as Apple-silicon minimum and M1 Pro/16 GB as safer; Intel should approximate i5-6400/RX 470. Workflow: reserve 70 GB; back up savegame/mod/input; record 1.20.0.0, DLC and SHA-256; let shaders settle on a clean farm; test a sow/harvest/store/multiplayer cycle; copy the old save; restore ModHub and script mods by dependency. Compare American Truck Simulator for road logistics, SnowRunner for difficult terrain, or Stardew Valley for lighter pixel farming, after confirming Mac availability.

Pros

  • Crops, livestock, forestry, production chains, shops and construction form a complete farm economy. Three regional maps, rice fields among 25 crops, goats/water buffalo/young animals, and 400+ licensed machines provide exceptional breadth. GPS steering, worker automation, ground deformation, weather and economy difficulty can be tailored for long solo or co-op campaigns. The official ModHub contains developer-tested creations, and both Apple silicon and Intel Macs appear in the official minimum requirements.

Cons

  • The learning curve spans crop calendars, soil steps, implement connections, loans, production recipes and seasons, requiring reference beyond tutorials. Work is deliberately slow and driving can be repetitive. Beyond the 45–50 GB base, maps, machines and mods grow storage rapidly; large farms, deformation and multiplayer strain the 8-GB minimum. Script mods and custom maps are version/DLC-sensitive and can cause nil errors or unloadable saves after updates. Some brands, expansions and machines are paid DLC.

Installation steps

  1. This page covers Farming Simulator 25 1.20.0.0. The channel lists macOS 10.15+, but GIANTS’ current official minimum is macOS 11.3, Intel Core i5-6400 or Apple M1, 8 GB RAM, AMD RX 470 or M1-class graphics and 45–50 GB storage; Apple M1 Pro/16 GB is recommended. Keep 70 GB free for mods, maps, cache and updates. Back up savegames, mods, settings and input configuration; record 1.20.0.0, DLC and SHA-256. Start without non-ModHub mods and use a new farm to test cultivation, sowing, harvest, GPS steering, livestock, productions, ground deformation, saving and multiplayer. The first launch after an update may stutter while shaders recompile, as GIANTS notes. Then copy the old save and restore mods individually.

Uninstallation steps

  1. Stop vehicles and workers, wait for the save indicator, then quit. Copy every savegame slot, careerSavegame, farms, vehicles, placeables, mods, modSettings, inputBinding and log, labelled with 1.20.0.0, map, DLC, mod versions/load order, money, season and SHA-256. Load the copy offline and verify land, vehicles, animals, productions, storage and contracts. For diagnosis, remove every mod and rename shader_cache/settings rather than deleting the only save. Preserve both copies during cloud conflicts. After reinstalling, sow, harvest and save on a new farm before restoring the old one; never overwrite while a map or required mod is missing.

Common errors and fixes

  1. First-launch stutter is expected after 1.20 when mods or custom graphics trigger shader recompilation; finish a drive before judging performance. For crashes, nil errors or an unloadable save, remove non-ModHub/obsolete script mods and start a copy; 1.20 fixes a possible fence nil error. Multiplayer wheel rotation at server FPS above 60 is also fixed, so match every client version. Visual jitter below large water planes, fence 06 gate trigger width, baler wrapping-arm volume and PTO requirements for several headers are corrected. Reduce shadows, mirrors, vegetation and ground deformation for low FPS; M1/8 GB is minimum. Multiplayer requires matching version, DLC, mods and map.

What changed in this version

  1. Version 1.20.0.0 is a maintenance update. It adds the Parade Ready design configuration for the Case IH Quadtrac 715 and makes minor visual adjustments to several models. It fixes fence 06 gate trigger width, a possible fence nil error, jitter below large water planes, baler wrapping-arm volume, and erratic multiplayer-client wheel rotation when server FPS exceeds 60. PTO RPM requirements are reduced for several harvester headers and John Deere 6M Series (95–125) engine configurations are updated. GIANTS warns that the first launch after a major update may stutter while shaders recompile with mods/custom graphics.
