Tinderbox

Tinderbox is a personal content management assistant. It stores your notes, ideas, and plans. It can help you organize and understand them. And Tinderbox helps you share ideas through Web journals and Web logs.

Tinderbox can even gather and update changing information and breaking news from the internet.

 

When it’s time to share your notes, Tinderbox can assemble multiple notes into one page. Updates are a breeze — even if you update several times a day. Private notes, timestamps, permanent links, archives: everything you want, just the way you want it.

Version 11.8.0:

• Fixed another shutdown crash, as we need to hold a reference to TbxMap until all the LayoutMap structures have been deleted.

• Fixed a crash when editing agents. A race condition could occur when updating the agent state and the user interface simultaneously.

• Added fresh protection against control characters embedded in styled text (see especially Microsoft Word) being copied into HTML CDATA, where they can prevent documents from opening.

• Resolved a pair of potential crashes when changing views or when updating a view layout while the view is being drawn

• Another attempt to address the intermittent hang on quit.

• Addressed a crash when trying to redraw links while a window is closing.

• Addressed a related crash redrawing the Roadmap while a window is closing.

• Fixed a crash when starting a new text thumbnail while a previous thumbnail was still being generated.

• Addressed a crash in LayoutMap::Remove on heavily loaded systems.

• Prevent a crash with making the text thumbnail of a note, if the note has no styled text and its $Text is not valid utf8.
