Description

The game features an advanced passenger flow system, and all the cities are real with a realistic population. The bigger the population, the more people want to fly. Each passenger has their own destination and they’ll fly with layovers if there aren’t any direct routes.

You won’t have enough money to connect every city to all the other cities, so you’ll have to analyze the situation and make decisions about where your next transport hub will be. Just like planes, airports also have their maximum capacity. You’ll lose if even one of them gets overloaded.

Almost 200 territories and tens of thousands of cities all around the globe are available! You can build an airport in any city and start transporting passengers. Different locations mean that you’ll have to adapt: while in Europe distances are small and it’s easy to manage your network, you’ll have to think about connecting cities further away because the longer the route, the more you’ll have to pay to open it.

In Discover the World Mode, you need to unlock every territory in the world (each territory costs in-game money to unlock) and cover the whole planet with your network. You have to unlock a new territory every 6 minutes, or you lose. Challenges Mode includes scenarios with certain pre-set conditions and goals to reach.

For example, to survive for a certain period or earn a specific amount of money. Each challenge is unique: in some of them you’ll have to connect constantly unlocking airports, and in others rebuild your network due to coronavirus outbreaks.

Also, there are daily scenarios. Each day meets you with a new scenario, and you’ll need to hurry to take place in the Leaderboard!

Sometimes random events occur. They can be positive (for example, investments in your company), negative (disasters stopping flights to or from certain territories), or just plain ridiculous (a businessman sues you because they spilled their coffee during turbulence). You never know what to expect!

Why we recommend it

Recommended for players who enjoy Mini Metro-like node networks and repeatedly rerouting bottlenecks under time pressure. Choose a heavier business sim if fares, aircraft performance, staff and realistic finance matter more. Start with a triangle among nearby high-population cities, fund core-airport capacity and planes on loaded routes, then unlock territory on the six-minute cadence; avoid one universal hub. macOS 10.13/2 GB is the floor and 4 GB suits a world network. On Apple silicon begin with a copy and no custom scenarios. Safe order: dual backup; 1.14/SHA-256; two-city route; one transfer; cross a timer; restore subscriptions.

Pros

  • It compresses airline networks into readable city nodes, passenger flow and capacity decisions: easy to grasp, yet hub design remains deep. Passengers have destinations and can connect, forcing a balance between direct service and transfer concentration. Nearly 200 territories and tens of thousands of cities make dense Europe and long intercontinental routes strategically distinct. Discover the World, challenges, daily leaderboards, random events, free play and the scenario editor span timed pressure and sandbox play. Steam Cloud, achievements and stats add replay value. Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean have official interface/subtitles.

Cons

  • Large networks become hectic when many airport overloads, destinations and route efficiencies compete for attention, and one airport can trigger instant failure. The six-minute Discover the World rule pressures players who prefer slow planning. Economy and aircraft are abstract rather than an airline-business simulator, while random events can disrupt a stable design. Daily boards and shared scenarios depend on online services; subscriptions may affect save consistency. The Mac graphics row reuses misleading DirectX 11 wording and gives no Metal/OpenGL or Apple-silicon tier. Traditional Chinese is not official.

Installation steps

  1. This page covers Fly Corp 1.14. Official Mac requirements are macOS 10.13 High Sierra+, Intel Core 2 Duo at 2 GHz or equivalent, 2 GB RAM and 500 MB storage; Core i3 at 2.5 GHz and 4 GB RAM are recommended. The Mac graphics row still says “DirectX 11 compatible,” a reused cross-platform store phrase rather than a native macOS DirectX API. Back up Discover the World, Challenges, daily and custom scenarios, local leaderboard records and Steam Cloud, then record 1.14/SHA-256. In a clean base-game save, build two airports, open a route, upgrade a plane/airport, process one connection, save and reload before moving the main save. Apple silicon has no official tier; check map zoom and heavy passenger flow.

Uninstallation steps

  1. Before uninstalling, pause, save to a new slot and wait for Steam Cloud. Separately back up world unlock progress, airport/route/fleet levels, money and passenger state, Challenge/Daily scores, authored/subscribed scenarios, settings and 1.14/SHA-256; record mode, speed and next territory. Do not clear user data with the app. Reinstall with custom scenarios and DLC off, then use a copy to verify cities, routes, planes, airport capacity, timer, money and leaderboard eligibility. Run several minutes without overload before restoring content individually.

Common errors and fixes

  1. An airport failure is rarely just plane count: inspect waiting passengers, destinations, transfer hubs, route length, plane capacity/speed and airport level. Pause, expand the bottleneck or split flow instead of stacking planes on one route. Falling cash calls for checking long-route opening costs, upgrade order and weak branches. Discover the World requires a territory every six minutes, so verify pauses and avoid noncritical spending. For save mismatch, disable subscribed scenarios/DLC and test a copy or cloud revision. Blank map, displaced text or zoom issues call for macOS 10.13, resolution and SHA-256 checks; on Apple silicon try windowed mode. Simplified Chinese, Japanese and Korean are official; Traditional Chinese is not.

What changed in this version

  1. The site version is 1.14. Official announcements confirm continued developer updates, but no public itemized notes were found for that exact full number, so fixes are not invented and higher versions are excluded. Verifiable scope includes nearly 200 territories and tens of thousands of cities, population-driven demand, destination/connection flow, plane and airport capacity, six-minute Discover the World unlocks, Challenges, daily scenarios, random events, leaderboards and the scenario editor. Validate displayed 1.14, a two-city route, one connection, airport upgrade, save/reload and working timer.
