- High rounds create many units/effects and strongly load CPU, memory and Metal graphics; 4 GB suits basic games only. Frequent updates change tower/hero/Boss balance, invalidating guides/challenges, and mismatched co-op versions cannot connect. Knowledge, heroes, skins, events and in-app purchases make the UI dense. Some modes require account connectivity/event windows; cloud conflicts threaten long progress. Hard modes demand retries and precision rather than pure idle play.
Installation steps
- This page covers Bloons TD 6 55.2. Official Mac minimum is macOS 11, 1.5 GHz 64-bit CPU, 4 GB RAM, Metal and 2 GB storage; recommended is 2 GHz, 8 GB and 4 GB storage. The site package is about 2.32 GB, so reserve 8 GB. Back up Ninja Kiwi/Steam Cloud, account, level, Monkey Knowledge, heroes, medals, challenges, saves, purchase records and settings, and record SHA-256. Confirm account linking, then test a fresh profile on a normal map, CHIMPS, Boss, Contested Territory, co-op and offline solo before restoring long progress. Co-op players must all use 55.2.
Uninstallation steps
- Before uninstalling, finish the round/co-op lobby, return to the menu, wait for cloud sync and record the account recovery code. Back up local/cloud progress separately, medals, Knowledge loadout, hero cosmetics, challenge/Odyssey/Territory state, settings and purchase receipts. Label 55.2, date and SHA-256; keep both cloud-conflict sides. After reinstalling, sign into the same account, verify level, currency and medals, then save once on a small offline map. Continue Boss/Territory only after cloud data is confirmed so a blank profile cannot overwrite it.

- For black screen/low FPS, verify macOS 11, Metal, 4 GB minimum/8 GB recommended, space and SHA-256; disable overlays and reduce resolution, effects and projectiles. High rounds are CPU/RAM heavy. For failed co-op, match 55.2, confirm account/region/firewall, test without VPN and recreate the lobby. If progress disappears, do not continue a blank profile; go offline, preserve local files and use recovery code/support to reconcile cloud data. Version 55.2 fixes UI/crashes, Contested Territory entry, Birthday Banner, empty-Jukebox Skull Tweak, Necromancer giant skulls, Shattering Shells versus Lych and several He-Man states—nothing else is claimed fixed.

- Official 55.2 notes fix several UI issues and crashes, including entering Contested Territory and entering Skull Tweak with an enabled empty Jukebox. The Birthday Quest banner is claimable during the event; xx4 Necromancer behavior around giant skulls is corrected; xx4 Shattering Shells can strip Lych regrow. He-Man fixes cover Prince Adam distraction scaling, Battlecry persisting on other towers after transformation, off-screen Magic Shield, tower state after redeploying during transformation, and artifact-effect double application.
