- Dreamweaver 21.6 supports 64-bit multicore Intel and native Apple silicon. This generation's Mac baseline covers Monterey 12, Ventura 13, Sonoma 14 and Sequoia 15, with 2 GB RAM (4 GB recommended), about 3 GB installation space and a 1280×1024 display. Install and activate through Creative Cloud. Prefer native mode on Apple silicon; legacy Intel-only extensions cannot load natively, so update/replace them and use Rosetta only for a confirmed dependency. Put the site under Git before editing and define separate local root, testing server and remote server. Review paths/configuration before importing any `.ste` Site Definition and never trust an unknown site package. Keep FTP/SFTP passwords, SSH keys and API secrets out of repositories and handoff archives. Connect first to a test directory and verify passive/SFTP mode, port, root path, time zone, permissions, exclusions, line endings and case-sensitive paths before enabling synchronization.
